Image processing stays in your browser
When you select, drop, or paste an image, Purgebg decodes and processes it inside your web browser. The image and generated mask are not sent to a Purgebg image-processing server. Temporary previews use local browser object URLs and are released when you replace or reset an image or close the page.
Model files are downloaded
Local processing requires software and machine-learning model files. Your browser downloads those files from Purgebg or a Purgebg-configured asset host. A model download is not an image upload. Browsers may cache model files to make later processing faster.
Website delivery data
Like ordinary websites, the hosting and asset-delivery services may receive technical request data such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, timestamps, and security logs. This information supports reliable delivery, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. It is not used to reconstruct the image you process locally.
Cookies and analytics
Phase 1 does not require an account and does not use advertising cookies. If privacy-respecting analytics are added later, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated before collection begins.
Your choices
You can clear cached model files through your browser’s site-data controls. You can also stop processing by leaving or resetting the editor. Avoid selecting an image if you do not have the right to use it.
Changes and contact
This policy will change when Purgebg adds accounts, server-side processing, payments, or APIs. Those Phase 2 features will require separate and explicit disclosures. Until a public support address is configured, project privacy questions should be raised through the contact method published with the deployed site.
